One with the halo
The other with the horns
One dark as the night skies
The other bright as dawn
One with the gentleness
The other with the might
One nurturing laughter
The other brewing fights

The angel and the devil within us side by side

One harsh like thunder
The other soft as dew
One kind and protective
The other mean and untrue
One stirring desires
The other maintaining peace
One breeding hatred
The other creating bliss

The two of them together in us they fight within

One always beside us
Holding our hand
The other looming behind us
Smiling in pretense
One rushing in to shield us
When danger's in the air
The other you can forget him
Coz' you'll never find him there
